Chef Randall Matthew’s pop-up, Elena, is named after his mother and means “shining light”. His goal is to shine a light on what dining means to him: a modern and eclectic experience is intended to be enjoyed with family, friends and loved ones. In the Washington Post 2017 Fall Dining Guide, restaurant critic Tom Sietsema wrote, “Randall Matthews brings serious chops…”
With a nod to the Mediterranean, this farm fresh concept features house-made pasta and breads. The menu showcases sharable dishes like fried cauliflower and smashed chickpeas as well as larger plates like 21-hour Moroccan lamb shank, and crispy soft-shell crab with polenta and pickled ramps.
