With the burger being the unofficial dish of summer, Chef Sima Qatanani thought it would be appropriate to put a spin on the American classic. Behold the Middle Eastern Burger popping up at the EatsPlace front patio grill.
Quatanani, the chef behind Kafta Burgers, recently debuted these unconventional burgers at DC’s Funk Parade, where they were a major hit. The middle-eastern-spiced patties are stuffed with garlic and herb laced cheese, making them extra special. Topped with peppery arugula, these burgers are the perfect way for you to add some flair to your burger routine.
Get your taste buds ready! Kafta Burgers will be at EatsPlace starting June 15. Options will include a parsley infused beef, cumin scented chicken, and pesto-topped vegetarian (halloumi) burger. And, if you’re not the burger type, salads will also be on the menu.
Come get your Middle Eastern fix at Eatsplace! Chef Quatanani will be here for a month starting June 15. Weeknights 5:30-9:30 PM. Friday and Saturday 5:30-Midnight. Hope to see you soon!

Beef Kafta 11
US premium ground beef with parsley, onions and amazing Middle Eastern spices, stuffed with herb and garlic infused Gournay cheese and toasted pine nuts topped with lightly dressed arugula salad.

Chicken Kafta 11

Halloumi Burger (Vegetarian) 11
Perfectly grilled Halloumi cheese served with Zaatar and toasted pine nuts pesto topped with cucumber and arugula salad on artisan bun. Also available as a salad for a gluten free option

Falafel Burger (Vegan) 11
Crispy falafel swathed in tahina sauce topped with cucumber and arugula salad on artisan bun. Available as a gluten free salad.
