Haiyo Dog: house-baked asian milk bread wraps local amish beef or organic veggie dogs topped with the best flavors from Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul and Ohio. Walk-in, no reservations. 5:00 until 9:00, Tuesday through Friday unless there is a special event or pop-up.
Haiyo Dog, Asian hot dogs on milk bread buns, is popping up at EatsPlace. Washingtonians will be the first to taste Haiyo Dog’s distinct flavors inspired from Chef Katy Chang’s family in Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul and the Midwest. Growing up in Washington DC, Katy traveled extensively to the East and Midwest to visit relatives and taste the local foods. Haiyo Dog specializes in hot dogs that include a variety of topping variations of dan dan noodles, sushi, tonkatsu, and kimchi, on a milk bread bun. Sides will include smothered pierogies and the rotato, spiral fries. Dessert will include black sesame buckeyes, a variation of the Midwestern sweet, and bread pudding.
Haiyo Dog’s menu will also have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free items. See the menu:
